The Southern States LLC Plating Room Operator 3 Assists in the preparation of copper parts or other materials for the silver and tin electroplating process by performing the following duties.
How You Will Add Value:
- Prepares parts for the plating process.
- Fills basket with parts to be plated or mounts parts on holding fixture and lowers materials into plating tank.
- Immerses materials in cleaning tanks preparatory to plating.
- Removes parts when process is completed.
- Adds plating solution or refills tanks, as directed, to maintain the plating process.
- Maintains working area in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers. Ability to use simple mathematical devices, such as, measuring tapes or ruler.
- WorkKeys ACT Score (Applied Math – 3, Graphic Literacy – 4, Workplace Observation – 2).
