SUMMARY
Assists in the preparation of copper parts or other materials for the silver and tin electroplating process by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. All other duties as assigned.
- Prepares parts for the plating process.
- Fills basket with parts to be plated or mounts parts on holding fixture and lowers materials into plating tank.
- Immerses materials in cleaning tanks preparatory to plating.
- Removes parts when process is completed.
- Adds plating solution or refills tanks, as directed, to maintain the plating process.
- Maintains working area in a clean, safe and orderly condition.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to communicate job related issues with supervisor, team leaders and other employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers. Ability to use measuring instruments such as tape measure or rule.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
