Job Summary:


The Project Manager manages all aspects of orders in house from time of order entry until delivery. You’ll oversee technical and commercial questions regarding our engineered to order projects to align to customer specifications, multiple delivery schedules, and further differentiate our product through a complete customer experience. You will manage the various technical details of the orders, as well as key timelines for various deliverables between internal and external customers. You will work closely with our customers, vendors, and other partners to deliver projects on time and on budget.


Key Responsibilities:

 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, representatives, key vendors, and internal team members for power solutions projects.
  • Review purchase orders and contracts for accuracy and to match project execution to customer expectations.
  • Work with sales, application engineers, order engineering, and key partners to manage project scope, timelines, changes, approvals, and customer expectations.
  • Create, implement, and manage a detailed project schedule for each assigned project.
  • Arrange and facilitate project meetings (both internal and external) and create formal communication plans for key stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of assigned projects.
  • Participate in the development of project Division of Responsibility and Risk Register and manage them through the project lifecycle.
  • Lead resolution of all project challenges to deliver projects on time and on budget.
  • Be a positive advocate for the customer within Southern States, LLC.
  • Forecast results and resource requirements accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Understand the design and application of power quality products and solutions to improve project performance.
  • Create reports on project status.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while working in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a Power Systems emphasis.
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) accreditation (PMP) certification.
  • Five (5) years in a role supplying power engineering solutions or products for electric utility and industrial power systems.
