The Co-op Manufacturing Engineer will assist the Manufacturing Engineering Department with production activities. Primary work involves using SolidWorks CAD software to design tools and fixtures for manufacturing.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Student enrolled in a four-year degree program, majoring in Engineering who has completed their freshman year of college.
Experience: Working knowledge of SolidWorks or other CAD software.
Must be willing to work 3 or more rotating semesters.
Other functions include:
Tooling and production method development
Material storage analysis and improvement
Collection and analysis of labor / machinery productivity and efficiency data
Machine tool set up reduction
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
Experience in or knowledge of metal cutting
Experience in or knowledge of metal cutting processes / machinery.
