Job Summary:
The Electrical Engineering Intern is a temporary, entry-level position designed to provide hands-on engineering experience for students pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. The intern will support the engineering team in the design, documentation, testing, and continuous improvement of motor automation and switchgear products under the guidance of experienced engineers.

The Electrical Engineering Intern is a temporary, entry-level position designed to provide hands-on engineering experience for students pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. The intern will support the engineering team in the design, documentation, testing, and continuous improvement of motor automation and switchgear products under the guidance of experienced engineers.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and revision of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
- Develop a working knowledge in using various software (i.e. AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Altium) for existing and new product designs.
- Generate and maintain engineering documentation, including specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and revision-controlled drawings.
- Participate in design reviews, providing input on component selection, signal routing considerations, grounding, and power distribution.
- Assist senior engineers by providing engineering support to manufacturing and operations teams assisting with troubleshooting electrical issues and design clarifications.
- Learn the application of applicable industry standards such as ANSI, IEC, UL, and NEC.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality and manufacturability while demonstrating a willingness to learn engineering tools, processes, and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Understanding of electrical circuits and schematic interpretation (basic circuit theory).
- Willingness and to learn quickly
- Ability to collaborate productively in a team-based environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
